Hwy 32 is a 23 mile scenic road that runs from Blanco to just south of Wimberley. There is a particularly scenic stretch of 32 called The Devil's Backbone that has amazing views of the surrounding Hill Country, and there is a scenic pullout on the north side of the road. Unfortunately, in recent years the foliage has really grown in at this stop making it impossible to see the views. The views are better appreciated from the road.
It is a single lane road, but there are plenty of passing opportunities. Lots of cops patrol this area, so always be careful. This highway isn't really a backroad - it's definitely more of a traveled highway, so it's not a particularly "fun" road, but the scenery is what makes it worth it, and it is a connecting point to Fischer Store Road which is a much more exciting strip of pavement.
